Yuma had been at Adamante most of her life, and obviously was well cared-for here.  She was orphaned as a toddler (a little before the age of two) by a plague in her village that orphanaed many children. Like chicken pox, it hit the adults badly, but left the children almost unscathed. Now she is our second oldest child and our only daughter and is quite content to currl up and read a good long novel.
